I photographed Susan and Tony's wedding with another photographer, Nile Sullivan, on September 25th. The ceremony was in the Manayunk section of Philadelphia in a beautiful church and the reception was held in a country club about 20 minutes away. I haven't processed all of the photos that I took at this event because I sent the raw images to Nile, who processed his photos along with my photos. Here are a few, though! Enjoy!
On July 19, I went to the Overbrook section of Philadelphia to photograph Rick & Gina's wedding. They wanted a small, intimate wedding for around 50 guests as it was a second wedding for both the bride and groom. Even though they had their wedding on probably the hottest day of 2008 in our area, it was absolutely beautiful! Here are a few of my favorite photos:
And I had to include my favorite photo of Rick & Gina's adorable little girls:
I've known many people who have been stuck in dead end jobs and are ultimately unhappy with their lives because they feel like they're not doing something fulfilling with their lives. I have never wanted to be one of those people. I'm a very artistic person and have studied various arts for years. When I went to college, I decided to pursue my love of writing and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Upon graduation, I had the dream that I'd find a job writing and be able to be successful and satisfied with myself. Unfortunately, the complete opposite happened. I ended up getting a job as an Administrative Assistant and have been extremely unhappy with my employment situation. I've always known that I wanted to do something creative with my life, and my loving and supportive husband suggested that I pursue one of my favorite hobbies, photography, as a career. So, here I am! I posted on Craig's List that I'm looking to build my portfolio and am interested in taking wedding, engagement and "Trash the Dress" photos. I have received a flurry of responses to my postings and I am absolutely thrilled!
